What This Mission Is All About

My legal name is Scwatrick Brummell, but my friends and family call me “Wally”.  I am seeking 25,000 people of color to become members of this organization.  First our primary goal is to create an Organization that would give us the ability to rebuild our communities while also establishing a solid foundation, one that is dependable and duly needed within this capitalistic society.  A foundation that anything or anyone can’t tarnish in any negative way.  There are about 19,429 cities and towns in the U.S today.  Second is to build 21st century store with the technology that we have today in each city and each town this will give us the ability to know what is truly needed in their communities, and the opportunity to make a positive impact.  Do you realize with 25,000 members we would be able to finance any business any where we chose ourselves?  You do the math 40 = ONE MILLION.  NOW THAT IS POWER.  Now is the time for people from a variety of backgrounds to come together under one roof and set new priorities.  There is a song out called “Waiting on the World to Change”.  Well, the world has changed, and now, we must change with it.

In 2009, we saw the first ever African American President and a new era began just as an old one came to an end.  Less than 50 years after dogs and fire hoses were used to attack African Americans on U.S. soil; less than 150 years after the outright sale of slaves was banned in this country, an enormous social barrier, has now been broken down.  The future and our destiny now rest, as they always have, in our hands.  Now is the time to look at how far we have come since the 1960’s.  In the 1960’s & 1970’s, the United States went through a dramatic change.  There was the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, and the Black Panthers (which was one of the most significant social-political and cultural movements in US history).  Blacks were coming alive.  Then, the 1967 riots brought chaos and destruction to so many cities, and the devastation can still be seen today.

Now is the time for all people to step up to the challenge of today.  Our President needs our help to make this change.  We must begin to pool our resources and invest in each other.  If we come together, we will be able to reach out to our communities, thus, providing growth and opportunities from within.  We need to start sometime, so why not now?  It is important that we show the world, our children, and especially ourselves that we can work together.  Now is the time to show that we can respect ourselves as well as each other and that we can rise above all the negative aspects of history that have kept us down for far too long.

This organization can have a strong positive impact on the lives of so many people.  I know how difficult it is to believe this.  Putting it all together will present a challenge as well as the opportunity to do something meaningful for yourself, your family, and so many others.  Having a dream involves a purpose and a mission that we can all understand.  It is not a vision at the expense of others, but a vision that will give us the ability to create a way out of any negative circumstances or conditions in which we find ourselves in today.  This organization, in this new age, has meaning; one significantly greater than just any common meaning.  We must reach much deeper than ever before, because, in this age we must be able to think in ways no one ever thought possible.  Imagine the impact this organization could have on the entire world when we actually succeed.

We have done the seemingly impossible, something that people of color have been trying to accomplish throughout history.  Dr Martin Luther King Jr., as well as so many other Black leaders who had dedicated their lives (as well as so many good-hearted white people who stood side by side with us and gave their lives as well) for us to have this day, would be very proud that we have finally made it.

Today, life isn’t fun for so many people all over the world in fact; it is quite far from it.  Millions of people from all around the world are living in poverty and desperation.  Most people in the world do not have what we call an economic ability, which is the ability to financially care for themselves, let alone those who depend upon them.  A lack of economic ability is the painful reality to so many people in our world today.  Our organization will be unique.  We’re doing something no one has done before us, because we are doing the right things, for the right reasons, in the right way and at the right time.  We’re building an organization, and once we do, you’d better believe that everyone will be eager to participate.  However, by then, with the grace of God, we will have built our organization so well and with such intensity, that no one will be able to compete with us.  We are right at that stunningly alive place where that which we are doing is exactly what needs to be done.

People of color have been denied for so long that we are trapped in either past memories or future imaginations, both of which we allow to create an inaccurate picture of our present.  There are moments when we simply cannot wake up, no matter how hard we try.  People are just tired.  They are tired of fighting for everything they have.  They are tired of having to make peace with life’s injustices.  (Which, by the way, is made up of Ivy League scholars.)  The problem is these individuals are used to having their way and of being accountable to no one.  I believe we are in the middle of a war, the money war.  The great third world war we have so long feared is already upon us, but we are powerful and we can make things bend to our will as long as we try hard enough.

We have the power to move the world.  Therefore, we should not allow ourselves to miss this outstanding opportunity; by remaining aware that these elusive, tenuous doors, are opened to us, only once, maybe twice, in our lifetimes.  We must reach out grasp these opportunities at any time they are present, as this one is now!  You will realize how powerful we can be simply by coming together, bit by bit, and over time, you will be astonished once you understand it.  Where you come from is a fact of time, where you end up is within your control.  Too often people associate poverty with failure.  Those are two separate things.  We need to begin rebuilding our communities   ourselves, we have more black millionaires today than ever before in history.  There are athletes, musicians, movie stars and a number of others.  Out of all of these people it seems someone could have taken the initiative and the interest in creating jobs in our community for young men and women.

Now is the time to rebuild and create a future for our kids.  So many of our young black men and women are in the penal system today and are so desperate for a second chance.  We, as a people, should strive to provide a way so they can obtain that second chance.  Just look around you.  We were forced, at one time, to live in poor conditions and now it seems that we have become accustomed to that way of living.  We must start now to turn this thing around.  Most of our politicians have been in office since the 1960’S & 1970’S, so they have had sufficient time to do something for the American people.  Yet they chose not to.  Our politicians have not made any good laws or good constructive policies in over 40 years that would inspire the American people.  Instead they give big businesses an avenue to take our money any way they can; in interest rates and in hidden bank fees, and numerous other ways.  What makes you think that a new-comer even as the President of the United State of America can just come in and tell someone that has been sitting in their seat for over 20 to 30 years how his government should run?  And how dare you try to change what has taken him so long to put in place.  They think their seats belong to them like an inheritance, or their ancestral home place, the power; they want to claim it, keep it and never let it go.  They make a vow to protect their ways of American life.  Take, for example, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.   The slogan was, “Helping Americans in Need”.  We gave more money to the Relief Fund than ever before in history.  Most of the people in the Lower 9th ward, with all of the hundreds of millions of dollars we donated, will never see a dime.  When you have the same players- you get the same results!

This organization will not indulge in politics, religion, finger-pointing or any kind of negative personal views.  This organization will only deal with healthy, positive, and constructive production views in rebuild our communities.  We also promoting Mechanics and Farmer Banks of Charlotte (better known as the Black Wall Street).  This bank was created in 1907 by nine prominent black businessmen.  The bank’s mission is to promote personal and community development.  Many people today lack appreciation of the first African American Bank, however, they have still remained true to these values, which have stood the test of time.  There is one final message that I would like to leave you with.  You can be whatever you choose to be, and accomplish anything you set your mind to.  You are as unlimited as the endless universe.  Your dreams and your imaginations are the hearts of your lives, and now it’s up to you to make the impossible happen!
